    Our territory-wide Flag Day was successfully held on 13 January 2024. The donations generated from the flag day event will be used to support our association in promoting mental health services in the community for increasing the awareness of mental health for general public.

    RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT

     



     

    In response to the severe challenges posed by the fifth wave of the pandemic, AIA Foundation has generously donated HK$10 million to The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) for purchasing supermarket and dining vouchers (the programme), aims to provide instant support to the people with disabilities (PWDs) living in the community and ease their hardship in daily lives. The programme is co-organised by HKCSS and the Hong Kong Joint Council for People with Disabilities, while 12 local non-profit organisations for rehabilitation service are the partners of this programme, they are responsible for handling applications and distribution of the mentioned cash vouchers. We, New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, are one of the partners of the programme.

    Each successful applicant will receive a total of HK$1,000 supermarket and dining vouchers to relieve some of the daily expenses. More than 10,000 PWDs will be benefited in this programme.

    The quota for each district is calculated based on the ratio of the number of applications received by the district to the total number of applications. Applicants should check with the organisations that they submitted application to for the results. The organisation will contact each successful applicant (who applied via their organisation) for the date and arrangement of vouchers collection.

    Vouchers collection period: from 17 May to 10 June 2022

    Successful applicants must bring the following documents for verification when collecting the cash vouchers:
    1.Original of a valid HKID card*; and
    2.Original of a valid Registration Card for People with Disabilities**; and
    3.A proof of receiving financial assistance from the CSSA Scheme’ OR his/her carer receiving living allowance under the Pilot Scheme on Living Allowance for Low-income Carers of Persons with Disabilities; and
    4.A proof of Residential Address

    * Hong Kong residents under the age of 11 that do not hold a HKID card can use the original of Hong Kong Birth Certificate as replacement of the HKID card.
    ** Persons with special education needs can use the proof of studying in Special Education programme recognised by government OR assessment report issued by the government departments/Hospital Authority as replacement of the Registration Card for People with Disabilities.

    Farmfresh330 Commended as Consumer Caring Company


    This was the second consecutive years for farmfresh330 to be commended as Consumer Caring Company implemented by GS1 Hong Kong. The award presentation ceremony was held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 10 June 2021.

    The Consumer Caring Scheme aims to recognize local enterprises which pursue consumer care as top priority throughout their businesses. They are committed to the belief "Customer for Life”, through making continuous improvement on products, services and processes to exceed consumer expectation and nurture customer loyalty.

    The Association Commended as Mental Health Friendly Supreme Organisation


    New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association signed the Mental Health Workplace Charter implemented jointly by the Advisory Committee on Mental Health, the Department of Health, the Labour Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Council. The Association was commended as Mental Health Friendly Supreme Organisation to recognize our continuous efforts to promote a mental health-friendly workplace environment.

    After continuous assessment of various energy saving and waste reduction measures, New Life Building is awarded the "Energywi$e Certificate – Good Level” and "Wastewi$e Certificate – Good Level” by Environmental Campaign Committee, and is successfully certified as "Hong Kong Green Organization” again in recognition of our contribution on environmental protection by Environmental Campaign Committee, Environmental Protection Department and 9 organizations.

    Our Annual General Meeting 2019/20 was held on 18 September 2020. To echo with the social distancing measure, we have conducted special arrangement during the Annual General Meeting including:

    • only voting members could enter into the meeting venue

    • other non-voting members or staff joined the meeting by using video conferencing facility

    • no meal or drinks were severed

    *330, the phonetic similarity of the numbers 330 and Body (3) Mind (3) Spirit (0), refers to physical, psychosocial as well as transcendental well-being. Well-being is applied to everyone, including ill or well.

    There are many ways to achieve well-being. Among those, evidence-based practices informed that mindfulness is one of the most useful tools that help people to enhance their well-being, such as stress and anxiety reduction, improve interpersonal relationship, strengthen immune function, enhance creativity & productivity, etc. In view of such, we strive to make mindfulness an attitude towards life, so we can all benefit from healthier lifestyle.

    “dayday330” Experiential Day cum Launching Ceremony


    New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association has recently launched the "dayday330” campaign to help integrate 330 wellbeing into the daily life of our population as part of a continuing effort to promote mental health in the community. Through the "dayday330” campaign, the Association encourages the general public to take interest in their 330 wellbeing by taking a micro break (at least of 3’30”) every day. The "dayday330” Experiential Day cum Launching Ceremony was held on 30 March 2019 at E-Max, Kowloon Bay.

    New Life Farm Open Day


    New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association has recently launched the "dayday330” campaign to help integrate 330 wellbeing into the daily life of our population as part of a continuing affort to promote mental health in the community. To support this campaign, the New Life Farm located at 33 San Fuk Road, Tuen Mun will organize an Open Day on Sunday 24 March 2019 to provide the general public with a break from urban life in a green environment.
  • “Kwai Tsing District Community Green Station” Opening Ceremony

    “Kwai Tsing District Community Green Station” Opening Ceremony


    Operated by New Lift Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, the opening ceremony of Kwai Tsing District Community Green Station (CGS) was held on 5 March 2019. Located at 12 Tam Kon Shan Road in Tsing Yi, the Kwai Tsing CGS is open to the public from 8am to 8pm on a daily basis, except for specified closed days.

    The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, officiated at the opening ceremony of the Kwai Tsing CGS, marking the launch of full services at the Kwai Tsing CGS to encourage members of the public to practise waste reduction and clean recycling, and to foster a green community.

    New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association has recently opened the third Healthy Living Specialty Shop - farmfresh330 (Queensway) at Hong Kong Islands. We hope that this farmfresh330 (Queensway) will help promote "Eat Well”, "Buy Social”, "Buy Local” and "Buy Fair Trade”, in addition to providing job and training opportunities for people in recovery.

    Mindfulness podcasts for Cathay Pacific


    newlife.330, an initiative of the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (NLPRA), strives to bring mindfulness into everyday life through various programmes and events that empower well-being among the general public.

    Whether we are travelling for business or leisure, a pleasant journey starts with well-being and peace of mind. In view of such, in September 2018 newlife.330 launched a new series of guided mindfulness audio exercises for passengers travelling with Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon. Through simple and easy mindfulness practices, passengers will be able to relax and enjoy the ride.

    The 6 featured podcasts focus on passengers’ needs during flight, covering inflight situations like flight anxiety, jetlag as well as simple mindfulness exercise including mindful eating, mindful stretching, body scan and mindful listening.

  • iREACH - Kowloon Centre Opening Ceremony

    iREACH - Kowloon Centre Opening Ceremony


    Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club iREACH Social Competence Development and Employment Support Center ("The Center”) has commenced operation since September 2017 at two sites in Chai Wan and Yau Ma Tei. The Center aimed to provide continuous and sustainable lifespan services for people challenged by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and to support their needs across developmental stages. The individual-based and social competence-oriented services aimed to strengthen their social competence and independence through multiple service modalities such as clinical assessment, individual counseling, social competence group training, employment support service, therapeutic programs, empowerment activities, as well as peer networking. 

    The opening ceremony for the Jockey Club iREACH Social Competence Development and Employment Support Center (Kowloon Centre) was held on 28 April 2018.

    Jockey Club TourHeart Project Service Centre


    Supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, New Life co-operated with The Chinese University of Hong Kong to introduce the stepped self-help mental health online platform – the "Jockey Club TourHeart Project” in September 2017. In February 2018, the Association established the "Jockey Club TourHeart Project Service Centre” in Mong Kok, providing the eGPS service for individuals who are suffering from depression or anxiety.
