Connecting Hearts Academy’ Launch Ceremony Cum Seminar

On August 22 (Thursday), the "Connecting Hearts Academy” Launch Ceremony cum Seminar was held by the Hong Kong Social Welfare Sector Heart to Heart Joint Action. The event was officiated by Mr John LEE Ka-chiu, GBS, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Prof Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, Chairperson of New Life and Dean of the Academy, attended alongside members of New Life’s Office Bearers and Executive Committee, and Mr Thomas CHU Sai-ming, CEO of New Life.

During the seminar, Mr Joe Tam Chi-fai, Facilities Manager of New Life, shared his insights on facilities management for social welfare organisations and its application within the academy, engaging in fruitful discussions with representatives from various sectors.
Healthy Mind Pilot Project

On 15 August, the Government announced the launch of the "Healthy Mind Pilot Programme" at three district health facilities. As one of the two collaborating NGOs for the programme, New Life will take on a referral role to provide treatments and group services for individuals in need.
Thailand Mental Health Seminar


On 31 July, Mr Raymond LAM Ming-wai, Community Service Supervisor of New Life participated in a seminar on mental health literacy and the public resilience, organised by the Bureau of Mental Health Academic Affairs under Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health. At the event, he discussed how New Life has been helping persons in recovery reintegrate into the community while actively promoting the significance of mental health education on an international scale.
Save the Children Hong Kong Anniversary And Children’s Champion Award Presentation Ceremony

On 27 July, Mr Thomas CHU Sai-ming, CEO of New Life (third from left in the above group photo) represented New Life as a supporting organisation at the Save the Children Hong Kong 15th Anniversary And Children’s Champion Award Presentation Ceremony on behalf of New Life. He engaged in discussions with other practitioners from the social welfare sector and visited the exhibition showcasing the work of Save the Children.
KMB Bus Handles Donation Programme

New Life took part in KMB's Bus Handles Donation Programme, referring service users in need to receive donated retired bus handles for preventing home accidents. Mr TANG, a New Life’s service user, received the bus handles along with installation assistance from volunteers in his bathroom.
Walking Hand-in-hand Art Exhibition

gift 330 was invited to participate in the Walking Hand-in-hand Art Exhibition organised by Art Hand in Hand, showcasing 37 artworks created by persons in recovery.
The exhibition featured artworks by multiple artists with disabilities, aimed at promoting inclusive arts in the community. A special area was dedicated to allowing the public to engage in watercolor creations and experience the joy of painting firsthand.
Inclusive Artworks At Kowloon Flour Mills

New Life was invited to visit the Kowloon Flour Mills and its public exhibition. Our service users expressed their unique impressions of this iconic Hong Kong manufacturer through their artworks, many of which were showcased in the exhibition, highlighting their distinctive talents.
The event also featured handmade crafts made by our service users, including rwb330 products themed around the "Hong Kong Spirit," as well as woodworking and pottery. The sale aimed to raise awareness of mental health and promote inclusivity and friendship within the community.
Tertiary Students Visit drinks330 And Delight Kitchen
Thirty-five second-year students from THEi’s Department of Health and Life Sciences visited the drinks330’s factory for soybean products and the other New Life social enterprise Delight Kitchen.
Through this visit, New Life hopes to help student reinforce their professional knowledge, while gaining insight into the lives of Persons in recovery and understand the importance of mental health.

Vocational Rehabilitation Service Units In A Charity Sale


New Life's vocational rehabilitation service units, including the Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop, Jockey Club Sun Workshop, New Life Building Sheltered Workshop and Shek Pai Wan Integrated Work Centre, were invited to participate in a two-day alumni event at Lingnan University. New Life’s service users proudly showcased the unique products made by Persons in recovery, aimed at raising awareness about mental health.

A team of primary six students from E.L.C.H.K. Kwai Shing Lutheran Primary School took part in a volunteer activity, distributing food to project members. Their participation demonstrated their compassion for those in need, and highlighted the younger generation's enthusiasm for community service.

Reitar Logtech Group

Medtimes and Reitar Logtech Group joined New Life’s latest "Eco-friendly coffee grounds diffuser stone workshop" held on 22 and 24 July respectively. Participants transformed coffee grounds into eco-friendly diffuser stones. They also engaged in the food distribution for project members and made generous donations to support the project.
newlife 330 Alcohol Ink Art Workshop For The Great Eagle Group

In August, newlife 330 was invited to host an Alcohol Ink Art Workshop for staff members of the Great Eagle Group. Guided by newlife 330 instructors, participants enjoyed a wonderful time, creating their own unique alcohol ink artworks.
