CCB (Asia) and New Life Launch Scholarship Programme for Diverse Talent Development
To encourage and recognise students with special educational needs, CCB (Asia) and New Life have jointly launched a scholarship programme for post-secondary students who demonstrate a tenacious learning spirit by overcoming significant educational challenges.

Following a rigorous selection process, 10 outstanding students were awarded scholarships at a presentation ceremony held on 3 July. The awards were presented by Ms. Annie CHEN (back row, centre), Deputy Chief Executive of CCB (Asia), and Mr. Thomas CHU Sai-ming (back row, sixth from left), Chief Executive of New Life. New Life Travels to Guangzhou to Celebrate the First Graduates of the ‘Affection • Cognition • Behaviour’ Social Training Programme for Autistic Youths

Since January this year, New Life has partnered with the Guangzhou Yang'ai Parents' Club for Children with Special Needs to launch the "Affection • Cognition • Behaviour" Social Training Programme for Autistic Youths, facilitated by Connecting Hearts. The programme provides professional training and on-site supervision to help local practitioners master facilitation skills and deliver evidence-based social training to autistic adolescents in the Greater Bay Area.
After six months of training and group practice, students from the programme's first cohort celebrated their graduation on 9 July. The ceremony was attended by New Life’s representatives, including Mr. Thomas CHU Sai-ming (back row, third from left), Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Chris WONG (back row, second from left), Head of Professional Services (Vocational Rehabilitation, Employment Services and Autism Services), and Mr. Tim WONG (front row, first from left), Social Work Supervisor.

Staff from Guangzhou Yang'ai reported that the theory-to-practice training had greatly enhanced their confidence in service delivery, and they look forward to deepening the application of these skills in the future. The collaboration has not only fostered professional exchanges between Guangdong and Hong Kong, but has also advanced the development of evidence-based services across the Greater Bay Area. New Life will continue to work closely with its partners to provide professional support to more families in need.
Environmental Officials from Shanghai and Hong Kong Visit "Green@Wong Tai Sin" to Explore Building Green Communities

A delegation of environmental officials from Shanghai and Hong Kong visited "Green@Wong Tai Sin" on 23 June. The delegation was led by Mr. TANG Jiafu (fifth from right), Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, and accompanied by Mr. Kenneth CHENG (fifth from left), Deputy Director (Waste Reduction) of Hong Kong’s Environmental Protection Department.

Members of the delegation conducted an on-site inspection to learn about the station's daily recycling operations and gain a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's community waste reduction model. Participants also engaged in a fruitful exchange of experiences and insights on two topics: "Promoting Public Participation in Recycling" and "Driving Green Community Development". This exchange not only affirms New Life's community environmental efforts but also inspires the Association to continuously enhance its recycling station services, contributing to sustainable development and community greening.
Shenzhen Nanshan District Huimin Comprehensive Service Agency Visits New Life for Exchange and Tour
A delegation from the Shenzhen Nanshan District Huimin Comprehensive Service Agency visited New Life on 26 June to gain a comprehensive overview of the Association’s diverse mental health services, promoting professional exchanges between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

During the visit, the delegation gained further insight into New Life's professional service spectrum and discussed practical experiences and future trends in social welfare services across the two cities. This exchange has not only fostered collaboration in promoting mental health services between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, but has also laid a solid foundation for future cross-regional partnerships.
so330 x Yat Chun Studio: Connecting Community Through Art to Promote Holistic Wellbeing


so330 partnered with watercolour artist Anthony CHOY Yat-chun of Yat Chun Studio to host "Blooming Hearts, Elegant Gathering with Yat Chun". The event transformed a café into an art space featuring a watercolour artwork showcase, workshops and product sales to promote holistic wellbeing, enabling participants to experience focus, calm and positive energy through artistic creation. Anthony (second from right) donated the proceeds from the event to New Life, which were received by Ms. Kris WONG (second from left), General Manager - Social Enterprises, on behalf of the Association. The donation will support the development of New Life's social enterprises and community mental health initiatives, extending the beauty of art into tangible assistance.
Renewed Partnership with Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay Showcases the Diverse Talents of Persons in Recovery

New Life's Vocational Rehabilitation Services held a sales promotion event at the Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay staff canteen on 11 June. Trainees from New Life’s service units showcased a range of healthy food products, handicrafts and cleaning items—all made by persons in recovery—demonstrating their unique abilities. The event not only raised public awareness of New Life's brands, but also exemplified the strong collaboration between the business sector and the social welfare sector in promoting mental health.
Kwai Shing Workshop Hosts Open Day to Showcase Revamped Vocational Rehabilitation Services

On 25 June, Kwai Shing Workshop held a visit and exchange event for around 20 parents from other social welfare organisations in the district to experience the Workshop’s upgraded facilities funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and to try out the newly introduced electronic technology equipment. The event deepened participants' understanding of New Life's vocational rehabilitation philosophy and fostered closer ties and collaboration among organisations in the district.
Flowing Sand Candle Workshop for Corporate Participants at Kwai Shing Workshop

Eight staff members from Consumer Search Group visited Kwai Shing Workshop to participate in a "Flowing Sand Candle Workshop". Under the guidance of instructors and trainees, they crafted handmade candles, experiencing a moment of calm and stress relief. Workshop representatives also introduced New Life's vocational rehabilitation services and the "dayday330" concept to the participants, encouraging them to bring the message of holistic wellbeing into their workplace and strengthen cross-sector collaboration.
