The five-day "The Legacy of Lacquer" Paintwork Trainee Workshop, sponsored by Yip’s Chemical and Camel Paint, and conducted under the expert guidance by masters from the Hong Kong Construction Industry Painters Union, concluded successfully. The workshop enabled the refurbishment of the interior walls and courtyard walls of the canteen at New Life's Yee Yuet Hin. The objective of this workshop was to help participants discover an interest in paintwork, thereby enhancing their employment opportunities.
In light of the overwhelmingly positive response, a second cohort is being planned to allow more service users to participate and showcase their talents.
New Life participate in ‘World Environment Day cum Recycling Day’ Kick-off Ceremony
In support of the National Event on the Environment Day 2026, and to celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Environmental Protection Department organised a week-long "Beautiful Hong Kong Green Fest" from 1 to 7 June, which coincided with the annual "Recycling Day".
As the operator of "Green@Kwai Tsing" and "Green@Wong Tai Sin", New Life was invited as a partner for the 2026 Recycling Day. The Association’s representatives attended the kick-off ceremony on 7 June to support for waste reduction and recycling efforts.
At the ceremony, New Life received a certificate of appreciation in recognition of its contributions to promoting environmental protection and recycling. Ms. Chris WONG, General Manager of Professional Services (Vocational Rehabilitation, Employment Services, and Autism Services), received the certificate on behalf of the organisation.
dayday330 x HSBC: ‘330 Strawberry Tart Workshop’
dayday330 collaborated with HSBC Hong Kong to invite 28 mentors and mentees from the "Strive and Rise Programme" to its Shek Pai Wan Integrated Training Centre for a "330 Strawberry Tart Workshop". Led by trainees and instructors from the centre, participants engaged all five senses—sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing—in an immersive dessert-making experience.
Beyond the joy of making desserts, participants also toured the centre's facilities to gain a deeper understanding of New Life’s vocational rehabilitation services and the accomplishments of the trainees. Witnessing the efforts and talents of the trainees helped foster greater community inclusion and support for persons in mental recovery in developing their diverse possibilities.

New Life at ‘Warmth Delivery 1+1’ Community Event
Cuisine Continental Group (HK) Limited and Cuisine Continental (HK), in partnership with social enterprises, organised the "Warmth Delivery 1+1" community event. Through New Life's Integrated Community Centre for Mental Wellness, The Wellness Centre (Yau Tsim Mong), care packages were distributed to individuals in need in the community, sharing them with warmth and support.
This event not only supported the daily needs of its service recipients, but also raised awareness in the business sector about issues on mental health and social inclusion. It further strengthened cross-sector collaboration in building a caring and inclusive community environment.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services Delegation Visits
To enhance the quality of catering training, a delegation from New Life's Vocational Rehabilitation Services and social enterprise cafe330 visited the Tsit Wing Group Hong Kong Company Limited for an exchange visit. The team took this opportunity to introduce the Association's services to the company, with the aim of expanding potential areas for collaboration, realising the vision of "business-community partnership", and creating more opportunities for training and skills enhancement for its service users.
Kwai Shing Workshop Hosts Visits from Special Schools' Teaching Staff
Following on the "Vocational Rehabilitation 330 Service Showcase" held in April, Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop welcomed staff members from several special schools, including the C.C.C. Mongkok Church Kai Oi School, the Hong Kong Red Cross Margaret Trench School, and the Mary Rose School, to visit its integrated vocational rehabilitation services centre. The tours were led by both workshop staff and service users, who acted as guides to showcase the newly refurbished spaces and introduce the various professional training units and service highlights. The visits successfully demonstrated the workshop's service transformation and fostered New Life’s vocational rehabilitation services, laying a foundation for future collaboration and professional partnerships.

The Association's newlife.330 has relaunched its mindfulness-themed mobile application "newlife.330 mobile app” with a revamped interface. This evidence-based and thoughtfully designed app aims to enable users easily integrate mindfulness into their daily lives. With just 10 minutes a day, users can engage in audio-guided exercises, personalised recommendations and immersive experiences to focus on their breath, calm their minds and gradually establish a stable rhythm for their overall wellbeing, building a new habit of taking a "330 micro-break" each day to achieve holistic health.
