‘Community Day @ Cho Yiu Estate’ Refines Body, Mind And Spirit Well-being With Arts

New Life joined hands with the Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Hong Kong Housing Society to launch the two-year initiative "A Mind-friendly Estate Model at Cho Yiu Chuen” in November 2022, with the objectives of enhancing the holistic well-being of the residents and strengthening the community bonds through a series of mindful art activities.

On 11 Nov, the Community Day @ Cho Yiu Estate event was successfully held to celebrate the interim results of the project. Representatives from partners, guests, and residents gathered to take part in various activities, including a guided tour to visit the mural art "Dawn in The Mountain City" jointly created by artists and residents, a photo exhibition, projects in collaboration with commercial tenants, and good places to go for body, mind and spirit well-being. Volunteers and partners were invited to share their experiences of participating in the project at the ceremony. New Life also set up a game booth to promote the importance of enhancing holistic well-being. The event was well-received by the participants who enjoyed a great time.

Collaboration With The Link To Launch New Concept Store "330 goodie

New Life was invited and sponsored by The Link Asset Management Limited (The Link) to set up a new concept store "330 goodie" that would last for six months at the Link Sustainability Lab in Lok Fu Place. Launched on 25 Nov, 330 goodie is the first of its kind to integrate the concept of mind, body and spirit well-being with our daily life.

"330 Goodie" is an integrated space for retail, exhibitions, mind, body and spirit well-being assessments and weekend workshops. It is a good spot for relaxation. The design of the store is based on the four states of mind and body, namely "Relaxed”, "Vitalised”, "Delighted”, and "Tranquilised”. The shop would provide different "goodies" packages according to your state, hoping to reach out to the community and encourage the public to observe more about their own states and changes, and to cultivate the habit of caring for their holistic well-being.

Inside the store, there is a designated zone for the members of the public to conduct a self-assessment on their own level of well-being, with the 330 well-being Index questionnaire. Upon the completion of the questionnaire, visitors can also get a capsule with a note of "330 tips” from the capsule toy machine onsite.

"330 goodies”-themed postcards are available for purchase at the concept store, allowing you to express your love and care to your family members, friends or themselves by writing words of concern, gratitude and encouragement. The 30th day of every month during the opening period will be designated as "Love Delivery Day", as store staff will send out postcards on behalf of customers.
