- Grand Opening on October 15

Organized by the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (New Life), the kick-off ceremony of the 7-day dayday330 "330 Micro-break X Art" Exhibition was held on October 15, 2022 at Maritime Square 1.

Miss Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of New Life , (right 3), together with Dr. the Hon KO Wing-man, GBS, JP, non-official member of the Executive Council, HKSAR (left 4), Prof. the Hon LO Chung-mau, BBS, JP, Secretary for Health (right 4), Dr. LEUNG Siu-fai, JP, Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation, (left 3), Mrs. Alice CHEUNG CHIU Hoi-yuem, JP, Director of Home Affairs (right 3), and Miss Charmaine LEE Pui-sze, JP, Director of Social Welfare (right 2) officiated at the launch ceremony of dayday330 "330 Micro-break X Art" Exhibition. Dr. WONG Kwok-yiu (left 1) and Mrs. SO CHAN Wai-hang, SBS (right 1), Vice-Presidents of New Life, also joined the kick-off ceremony.

The Hong Kong Housing Society collaborated with newlife.330 to organize the online mindfulness workshop
Honoured with the Bronze Prize in "Best COVID-19 Response"

During the fifth wave of the pandemic, the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) collaborated with newlife.330 of the Association to organize online mindfulness experiential workshops for housing estate residents to help them relieve their emotions and take care of their well-being. HKHS was honoured with the Bronze Prize in "Best COVID-19 Response" in the "PR Awards 2022” in recognition of its remarkable performance in community care efforts during the epidemic. Ms. Loretta Poon, Senior Manager of the Association, was honoured to be invited to the award ceremony held on September 29 to share the joy of winning.

Chow Tai Fook Medical Foundation, Shih Wing Ching Foundation and Kerry Holdings Visited New Life

Representatives from Chow Tai Fook Medical Foundation and Shih Wing Ching Foundation, two funding organisations of New Life’s Psychiatric Medical Subsidy and Community Support Project, joined the guests from Kerry Holdings Limited to visit New Life on 18 October. Visitors received a brief on the project’s latest progress and toured around at the New Life Building Sheltered Workshop and the Wellness Centre for a better understanding of New Life’s services.

A Tour of "Nam Cheong 220”

Invited by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, a team led by Miss Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of New Life and Mr. Thomas CHU Sai-ming, Chief Executive Officer of New Life visited the "Nam Cheong 220”(Nam Cheong Street Modular Social Housing Project) on 26 October, and learned how this first transitional housing project adopting the modular integrated construction method benefits the families that used to live in subdivided flats.

Maryknoll Convent School’s Visit at New Life

Hosted by Miss Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of New Life and Mr. Thomas CHU Sai-ming, Chief Executive Officer of New Life, representatives from Maryknoll Convent School visited New Life Building Sheltered Workshop and the Wellness Centre on 25 October, and discussed potential partnerships in various aspects.

New Life’s Sheltered Workshop Working Team Visited THEi

With an aim to explore new food training projects for its service users, on 28 September, a team of working staff at New Life’s Sheltered Workshops visited THEi’s Department of Food And Health Sciences at its Tsing Yi Campus to learn about the concept and technique on making plant protein food with organic bean residue. The team has also been shown the latest equipment and research outcomes from the Department, providing a solid technical foundation and support for future food items’ research and development at the Sheltered Workshops.

Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop: Food Sharing Project

Mooncake FUN Sharing 2022
New Life’s Food Sharing Project has launched the "Mooncake FUN Sharing 2022”, a mooncake donation initiative during Mid-Autumn Festival with the objective to reduce food waste. Over 900 mooncakes have been collected and then delivered to people in need of food aid as a festival blessing.

World Bank’s Voluntary Work
Connected by the Foodlink, the corporate volunteer team from the World Bank visited the Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop on 2 September to participate in the Food Sharing Project’s corporate voluntary activity. The volunteers assisted in collecting the food and delivering the food packs to the beneficiaries, sending their love and blessings to the needier in the community.
