Telling Story with Artwork Creation - The First "gift330” Art Exhibition Launched by New Life

In 2020, the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association brings the artworks from people in recovery( PIR) of mental illness to the community through the gift330 project. Themed with ‘eat’, ‘travel’ and ‘living’, PIR’s art pieces are transformed to lifestyle products and their creativity are being connected with our society and lives. From 6 to 14 November 2021, New Life organized the "gift330-Gift me a moment” Artwork Exhibition for PIR to encourage the public to deepen their understanding to such group and discover their talent in art.

Arts330 - Art Training and Development Program

Funded by Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities, New Life launched in January 2020 the "Arts330 - Art Training and Development Program” for a period of 24 months. Through visual art activities, participants gain the opportunity to improve their art techniques and creativity as well as the art appreciation level.

Updated of New Life

The New Life Executive Committee members pays a visit to so330

New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association has officially opened the social enterprise restaurant - so330 in September 2021. On 29 October 2021, the Executive Committee members visited the restaurant and held the ExCo meetings there. Miss Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of New Life introduced the concept of so330 to the committee members. After the meeting, ExCo members enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and tasted healthy food prepared by PIR staff.

Invitation from Alibaba Group - Launching a Diversified Collaboration

In October 2021, New Life has launched diversified projects in cooperation with Alibaba Group in hope of promoting psychiatric health message to the wider base of public. Through introducing products made by PIR, those projects also aim to deepen public’s understanding to them and recognize their ability.

Project 1: To promote mental health message on Facebook and Instagram of Alibaba Group.

Project 2: Participate in New Life Food Sharing Project as volunteers and distribute food to the beneficiaries

Project 3: The "Caring” Charity Pop-up Store Project.

Becoming partner with Tmall Hong Kong "Caring” Charity Pop-up Store, New Life has listed more than 60 pieces of products made by PIRs on shelf from 20 October to 19 November 2021.

 

New Life SE "ecotour330” Receives Outstanding Award

In the summer vacation 2021, "ecotour330” has offered business majored university students who joined the "Citi-HKCSS Community Intern Program 2021” internship. The students not only gain the opportunity to utilize their knowledge and creative thinking into real situation to promote "ecotour330”, but also become more caring to the society and strengthen their mentality to take up corporate social responsibility. "ecotour330” is rewarded with the Outstanding Award as encouragement of their achievement. The award presentation ceremony was held on 26 November 2021.


 

Participating in Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (GIES)
Demonstrating the Ways to Explore Mental Health with High Tech

From 3 to 6 November 2021, New Life participated in the GIES 2021, which was jointly hosted by HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), to unfold to the public how to explore mental health with advanced technology. In the booth, New Life exhibited three projects, including the newlife330 mindfulness mobile app; VReach, a project aims to deepen the understanding of Persons with Autism (PWAs) at workplace with VR technology; and the "Experience.Awareness.Reflection” project, a project aims to deepen the understanding of patients with Psychosis with VR technology. By bringing simulated experience to the audience, New Life hoped to raise the public awareness to mental health related issues.
