Take insomnia as an example, most of us were likely to become nervous when we fail to sleep, worrying that inadequate sleep would adversely affect our performance at work. At such time, we may try to focus on the status of our body and mind by practising mindfulness. When we start practising mindfulness, it would be easier for us to be aware of our thoughts and could try to find a way to calm ourselves down. Gradually, sleepiness grows and time of insomnia would be greatly shortened. And we may not be that afraid even if we could not fall asleep immediately.
