New Life Participates in Hong Kong Social Workers Explore the Motherland – ‘Connecting Hearts’ Foshan Exchange Tour”


Organised by Connecting Hearts, the three-day Foshan Exchange Tour began on 18 May. New Life participants were among a total of 320 social welfare workers from various agencies in Hong Kong who joined the tour to gain a better understanding of the nation and social welfare development in the Chinese Mainland.

Vocational Rehabilitation 330 Service Showcase 2026 Successfully Concluded



New Life’s Vocational Rehabilitation Service held the "Vocational Rehabilitation 330 Service Showcase 2026” at the C.C.C. Mongkok Church Kai Oi School on 25 April. Ms. Chris WONG Kar-hing (front row, centre right), Head of Professional Services, (Vocational Rehabilitation, Employment Services and Autism Spectrum Disorder Services), and Mr. Kelvin SIN (front row, centre left), Social Work Supervisor of New Life, along with over 120 participants from special schools, tertiary institutions, industry and employers, attended the kick-off ceremony.

The event aimed to promote the Association’s latest vocational rehabilitation service model to the public. It featured seminars, experiential workshops, game booths, service consultations, experience sharing, and performances. Through in-depth cross-sectoral exchanges, participants enhanced their understanding of the development of vocational rehabilitation services, with the hope of fostering diverse professional collaborations in the future.

New Life thanks the C.C.C. Mongkok Church Kai Oi School for lending the school premises to host the Service Showcase.

Prof. KWAN Chi Kin, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences at City University of Hong Kong, delivered the keynote seminar titled "There is Always a Way Out”.

New Life Participates in 2026 Social Work Programme Students Career Expo


On 9 May, the Association participated in the Social Work Programme Students Career Expo, organised by the Hong Kong Social Workers Association, in conjunction with Connecting Hearts and the Connecting Hearts Academy. Mr. Edward TO, JP (fourth from right), Director of Social Welfare, and Professor Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP (sixth from left), Chairperson of Hong Kong Social Workers Association and the Executive Committee of New Life, Mr. Thomas CHU (fifth from left), Chief Executive Officer of New Life, and Ms. Cindy YIU Yan-yee, Head of Professional Service (Community Services), joined other participants to visit New Life’s booth. The Expo brought together over 170 social work-related positions, providing a platform for employment and networking for fresh graduates of social work programmes.

New Life looks forward to more collaborations with different parties in the future to promote mental health and recovery services, covering mental health services, support for people in mental recovery, community work, vocational rehabilitation, and social enterprise development.

New Life Participates in Fuhong Society of Macau’s Activity


In recognition of the National Disability Day, New Life was invited by Fuhong Society of Macau to participate in the opening ceremony of the "2026 National Disability Day - Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Community Inclusion and Charity Ability Showcase Bazaar”, and set up a charity sale booth at Iao Hon Park in Macau on 9 May. Mr. Kelvin SIN (eighth from left), Social Work Supervisor of New Life, attended the opening ceremony on behalf of the Association.

On the day of the event, New Life’s Vocational Rehabilitation Service showcased "Hong Kong Souvenirs” as its theme, displaying self-branded products made by persons in mental recovery, including handicrafts, handmade food items and personal care products. This attracted many members of the public to learn about the Association’s services and purchase the products. New Life’s staff introduced the potential and abilities of persons in recovery to the public, further promoting community inclusion.

Sun Workshop (Sham Shui Po) Launches rwb330 Series at Three Citistores

New Life’s rwb330 products have been available to the public at the "Hong Kong Style Creative Market” at Citistores in Tsuen Wan, Tseung Kwan O and Ma On Shan for six consecutive weeks starting from 24 April. This sales event brought a variety of innovative products that are both stylish and practical, promoting Hong Kong’s cultural creativity and the Association’s vocational rehabilitation development to the community.


Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop Holds ‘Know More About Healthy Eating’ Nutrition Talk and Cooking Activity

To promote the concept of healthy living, Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop initiated the "Jockey Club Healthy Support Project” and organised the "Know More About Healthy Eating” activity. Led by macrobiotic cookery instructor Ms. HO Wing-yi (Mrs. Kishimoto), who demonstrated how to make healthy Hainanese chicken rice. Participants not only learned about nutrition but also experienced the joy of healthy eating.

Mindfulness Mobile App Re-launched with a New Look


The Association’s newlife.330 has re-launched its mindfulness-themed "newlife.330 mobile app” with a revamped appearance. Through an evidence-based and thoughtfully designed mindfulness practice, the app enables users to easily integrate mindfulness into their daily lives. With just 10 minutes a day, users can focus on their breath, calm their minds, and gradually cultivate a stable rhythm for body and mind through audio guidance, personalised recommendations and immersive experiences. The app helps users cultivate a new "330 micro-break” habit every day, taking an important step towards a holistic body, mind and spirit wellbeing.
