‘Listen · Heart · Speak 330 - Rediscovering Genuine Connections’ Successfully Held

The launch ceremony of "Listen • Heart • Speak 330 - Rekindling Genuine Connections" was successfully held on 30 March at D•PARK.

New Life was honoured to have Dr. Libby Lee, JP, Deputy Secretary for Health as the officiating guest at the ceremony. The ceremony was jointly presided over by New Life's leadership: Vice Presidents Dr. Chris WONG, and Mrs. Susan SO, SBS, BBS, and Chairperson of the Executive Committee Professor Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP.

‘Listen · Heart · Speak 330’ Interactive Booths Guide Public in Exploring Holistic Wellbeing

The two-day event concluded successfully, featuring five key experiential zones: Village Chat Room, "Walk in Others' Shoes” Pavilion, Mood Tea Lounge, Heartfelt Photo Studio and LEGO® Collaborative Workshop. Participants adopted a "villager" identity to practice active listening, empathy, communication and connection. The event attracted over 10,300 attendees, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.


‘Listen · Heart · Speak 330’ x Sleep Well Masterclass: Shall We Talk Sleep Tips

Supported by "Shall We Talk", the event also featured an innovative "Sleep Well Masterclass” Booth where participants learned about tips for developing healthy sleep habits through interactive games. The activity highlighted how sleep quality and patterns significantly impact both the holistic wellbeing.

At the "Shall We Talk" booth, engaging demonstrations taught practical techniques for achieving deeper sleep, improving overall sleep quality, cultivating positive mood through better rest and eventually maintaining holistic wellbeing.。


2025 Social Work Run

Organised by the Hong Kong Social Workers Association, the 2025 Social Work Run was successfully held on 13 April. As one of the supporting organisations, New Life had over 70 staff members, partners and family members gather at the Hong Kong Science Park on the event day to get moving and spread positive energy.

In attendance to cheer on the participants were Mr. HO Kai-ming, JP, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Ms. WONG Yin-yee, JP, Deputy Director of Social Welfare (Administration), Ms. Maggie LEUNG, Deputy Director of Social Welfare (Services), Professor Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of New Life and President of the Hong Kong Social Workers Association, Mr. Thomas CHU Sai-ming, CEO of New Life, and representatives from various organisations.

New Life sincerely thanks every participant for their enthusiasm and dedication, and will continue to support service users on their recovery journey.


Opening Ceremony Of Diversity And Inclusion Arts Festival And Diverse Abilities · Inclusive Workplace Recognition Scheme

New Life took part in the Opening ceremony of Diversity and Inclusion Arts Festival and Diverse Abilities · Inclusive Workplace Recognition Scheme, co-organised by the Labour and Welfare Bureau and the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong. Mr. Thomas CHU Sai-ming, CEO of New Life (back row, third from left), joined other partners and guests of the Jockey Club Collaborative Project for Inclusive Employment, witnessed this significant milestone in promoting inclusive workplaces in Hong Kong.

At the ceremony, Mr. Chris SUN, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, emphasised the importance of "diversity" and "inclusion", urging all sectors of society to translate these principles into tangible action. Going forward, New Life’s dedicated team under the Jockey Club Collaborative Project for Inclusive Employment will work alongside the Labour and Welfare Bureau, and The University of Hong Kong to introduce the Diverse Abilities · Inclusive Workplace Recognition Scheme, and the "Caring Employer" badge. Together, these initiatives will drive progress in inclusive employment, empowering more individuals with disabilities to thrive in the workplace.


Launch Ceremony For ‘Special School Senior Secondary Student Internship Programme 2025’

Thanks to the generous funding from the Woven Charitable Foundation, the launch ceremony for the Special School Senior Secondary Student Internship Programme 2025 – co-organised by New Life and some other partner organisations, was successfully held at CCC Kei Shun Special School. The event attracted over 120 attendees, including students with special educational needs, parents, school principals and teaching staff, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Chris SUN, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Ms. Portia CHOW, Director of the Woven Charitable Foundation, alongside Ms. Chris WONG Kar-hing (second from right), Head of Professional Services (Vocational Rehabilitation, Employment Services and Autism Spectrum Disorder Services) of New Life, as well as representatives from partner organisations. During the event, graduates from New Life’s social enterprises and past participants of the programme took to the stage to share their valuable internship experiences and personal growth stories, demonstrating the remarkable progress students can achieve with appropriate support.

The event also highlighted how the programme provides a workplace internship platform to help students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities explore career aspirations, build confidence and prepare for future employment.


farmfresh330 Named ‘Consumer Caring Company’

New Life’s social enterprise Farmfresh330 has been named a "Consumer Caring Company" by GS1 Hong Kong for six consecutive years. The "Consumer Caring Scheme”, organised by GS1 Hong Kong, aims to commend local enterprises that demonstrate six core principles: caring for consumers, consumer centricity, conforming to commitment, quality control and safety, strive for quality and caring for staff.


HKUST Check in Day

New Life’s drinks330 and Jockey Club Sun Workshop were invited to participate in the Check-in Day event organised by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Counselling and Wellness Centre. The event featured various game booths focused on promoting holistic well-being. After taking part in the activities, students and staff could redeem organic drinks or muffins supplied by the Association, giving a boost to their body, mind and spirit.


New Life Market At We Go Mall

New Life’s staff members also introduced the Association’s vocational rehabilitation services, raising awareness and fostering greater acceptance of persons in mental recovery, contributing to a more inclusive community.


Organic Day 2025

New Life Farm took part in the Organic Day 2025, organised by the Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre at the pedestrian precinct on Chater Road, Central. The Association’s service users participated in the showcase and sales activities, demonstrating their agricultural achievements to the public while experiencing the joy and fulfilment of community engagement.

18th Certified Organic Farm Competition, including: Excellence in Organic Cultivation Award (Designated Crop: Late Water Radish), Excellence in Organic Pest Management Award and Excellence in Organic Nutrient Management Award. These accolades highlight our service users' dedication to organic farming and their valuable contributions to sustainable agricultural practices.


Aromatherapy Candle Holder Workshop For Tam Jai International

New Life's Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop was invited by Tam Jai International to conduct a handmade aromatherapy candle holder workshop. Under the guidance of the workshop's instructors, participants had the opportunity to create their own unique diffuser candle holders.

During the event, New Life's staff introduced the Association's support services and promoted the importance of holistic well-being through dayday330. Attendees were invited to complete an on-site self-assessment of their wellness level and sign the 330 Pledge as a commitment to self-care.

Following the workshop, Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop held a product exhibition at Tam Jai International's office, showcasing handcrafted items made by persons in mental recovery. The team also introduced New Life's vocational rehabilitation services, raising the awareness of mental health in the workplace.

The upcoming event

2025-26 Territory-Wide Flag Day


New Life has always been committed to care, innovation, continuous pursuit of excellence, and upholding professionalism. The Association strives to develop and provide community mental health services that are "people-centred", "recovery-oriented" and "evidence-based".

Approved by the Social Welfare Department, New Life’s Flag Day will take place on 10 January, 2026 (Saturday). Funds raised will support New Life’s innovative, self-financed services for social inclusion, support for persons in mental recovery, as well as mental health and holistic well-being advocacy.
