Connecting Hearts National Studies Course

ISS 100th Anniversary Dinner

The ISS 100th Anniversary Dinner held on 1 November was officiated by the Hon John LEE Ka-chiu, GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, the Chief Executive of HKSAR, and Mr. HE Jing, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR. New Life’s Chairperson of the Executive Committee, Professor Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, and CEO, Mr. Thomas CHU Sai-ming attended the Dinner and engaged in discussions with representatives from various sectors, including politics, business, social services, and corporate partners.
Diversity and Inclusion: Creating Opportunities Together” seminar

New Life was invited by the Labour Department’s Selective Placement Division to attend the "Diversity and Inclusion: Creating Opportunities Together” seminar. Ms. Chris WONG Kar-hing, New Life’s Head of Professional Services, (second from right), shared insights on the topic "Corporate & Social Welfare Collaboration for ESG,” encouraging more companies to explore various collaboration opportunities through partnerships to achieve sustainable social development.
Additionally, the Jockey Club Sun Workshop set up a booth at the event to showcase its self-branded products and vocational rehabilitation services at the sheltered workshop, helping more people understand and learn about the services provided by the Association.

10000 Steps A Day Walking Challenge 2024

New Life has been invited to be one of the supporting organisations for the "10000 Steps a Day Walking Challenge 2024”, organised by the Department of Health. On 1 November, New Life’s Corporate Communications Manager, Ms. Ada KWONG (back row, second from left), and dayday330 Assistant General Manager, Ms. LO Ka-ching, attended the launch ceremony to support the campaign, which hopes to promote the importance of daily exercise through walking, adding vitality to both body, mind and spirit well-being.
International Recognition Of Excellence Performance

New Life’s CEO, Mr. Thomas CHU Sai-ming (first from left), recently accepted the International Certificate of Excellence on behalf of the Association from Rona McBrierty (centre) and Ryan Tempesco (first from right) of the Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery, USA. This is the third time New Life has received this recognition since 2016.
dayday330 X HACTL Health Day: Energising Body, Mind And Spirit

For the fifth consecutive year, New Life has been invited by Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (HACTL) to participate in its "Annual Green Week" event. Over two days at the HACTL office, the company’s staff was introduced to the dayday330 micro-break, the [330] Well-being Index, and five ways to well-being.

The event featured several booth games themed around dayday330 animations, designed to test and train participants' reactions. They also experienced the most realistic indoor cycling game through live-action footage displayed on screens.
The use of virtual reality (VR) technology also allowed participants to immerse themselves in nature, allowing their body, mind and spirit to enter a state of tranquility and a space for healing.
Tuen Mun Hospital's Green Week 2024

New Life Farm took part in Tuen Mun Hospital’s Green Week 2024, which encouraged the hospital’s staff to donate pre-loved items to those in need, thereby reducing waste. This event also provided an opportunity to promote local organic farming and introduce the agricultural vocational training offered by the Association’s sheltered workshop.
New Life 330 Basketball Team

New Life has officially established its 330 Basketball Team! The initiative aims to enhance staff’s interest and skills in basketball and strengthen the cohesion and collaboration among the team. More importantly, it also echoes the concept "be active”, one of the five ways to promote holistic well-being.
Eco-Friendly Wooden Speaker Workshop

Tin King Sheltered Workshop was invited to arrange an eco-friendly wooden speaker workshop for students at the CUHK. Under the guidance of instructors from Tin King Sheltered Workshop, the students handcrafted their own unique wooden speakers. During the event, staff took the opportunity to introduce services offered by the sheltered workshop, helping students understand the work and capabilities of persons in recovery.

Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop: ECF Food Sharing Project
Department of Social Work at CUHK

Students from the Department of Social Work at CUHK participated in New Life’s "ECF Food Sharing Project” volunteer activity, distributing food to project members and caring for those in need in the community.
In addition, the students visited the Kwai Shing Sheltered Workshop to learn about its daily operations. This community activity aimed to deepen students' understanding of current community needs and promote social inclusion.
