Participation in Education Bureau's Strength-based Group, Helping Autistic Students Excel in their Strengths and Become "Little experts"
With the concept of "building on strengths and developing potential," the Education Bureau's Tiered Autism Intervention Model (AIM) Project launched the "Strength-based group” in the 2021/22 academic year. This initiative guides students with autism to develop and utilise their various strengths, enhances their self-understanding, and assists them in planning their further study or career paths.
The Bureau introduced eight thematic courses, covering various professional fields such as "traffic planning", "stop motion animation" and "drone programming", matching with the students' strengths and interests, enhancing their motivation and skills in learning and social interaction. New Life is one of the participating organisations assisting in the implementation of multiple thematic groups.
