On 15 September, New Life hosted its 2022/23 Annual General Meeting cum Long Service Awards Presentation Ceremony, together with the "Our New Life Journey: With Care & Innovation" Gala Dinner at Hotel ICON. Dr Libby LEE, JP, Under Secretary for Health and Mr Chris SUN, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare were the officiating guests for the Annual General Meeting and the gala dinner, and delivered their speech.

Annual General Meeting
Chaired by Professor Fanny CHEUNG Mui-ching, SBS, OBE, JP, New Life’s President, the Annual General Meeting saw Miss Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of New Life presented the latest Chairperson’s report and financial highlights. The proposed lists of Office Bearers, Hon. Auditor, Hon. Legal Advisors as well as the Executive Committee have been approved during the meeting.

Dr Libby LEE highlighted the innovative services launched by New Life, such as its online communication platform and dayday330 well-being self-assessment tool, and she looks forward to more collaboration opportunities in the future that could further embody New Life's service philosophy: care for people and excel for quality.
"Our New Life Journey: With Care & Innovation" Gala Dinner
As part of the annual event, the "Our New Life Journey: With Care & Innovation" Gala Dinner served as a platform to review what has been achieved by New Life in the past year, as the organisation plans for the future. The officiating guest, Mr Chris SUN, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare applauded New Life’s innovative mindset on adopting technology and simple and elegant designs to its mental health services, which helps break the social stereotypes.

Miss Annie TAM Kam-lan, GBS, JP, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of New Life, shared with the guests the "New Life’s Journey: With Care & Innovation" over the past 58 years. She said the substantial changes brought by the epidemic motivated the organisation to review its direction and services to further uphold New Life’s core values: "Care for People” and "Excel for Quality”.

Service Showcases
Riding on this special occasion, New Life set up booths outside the venue to showcase the organisation’s comprehensive and diversified service portfolio to the guests.

Long Service Awards Presentation
Long Service Awards were presented to 76 staff who have served the organisation for over 10 years. Dr Libby LEE, JP, Under Secretary for Health, presented trophies to staff with 30, 25 and 20 years of service.
Trophies to staff with 15 and 10 years of service were presented by New Life’s Office bearers, including President Professor Fanny CHEUNG Mui-ching, SBS, OBE, JP, Vice-Presidents Dr. Chris WONG Kwok-yiu and Mrs. Susan SO CHAN Wai-hang, SBS, BBS, as well as members of Executive Committee: Vice-Chairperson Dr. Edwin YU Chi Shing, MH, Honorary Secretary Dr. CHEUNG Hung-kin, and Mr. Stephen YOUNG Wai-tsing and Ms. WOO Yuen-ling.
