A New Initiative in Collaboration with the Education Sector

A well-furnished glass house with delicate outside seating in the podium, New Life Gourmet (Kowloon Tong) provides a comfortable & relaxing environment for customers to enjoy a sip of coffee. Apart from freshly brewed coffee, New Life Gourmet offers light refreshment such as fresh fruit and fruit juice, organic and healthy snacks, lunch box, healthy bread and cookies.

This project represents a ground-breaking collaboration between the social welfare sector & education sector as this is the first time for Education Bureau (EDB) to operate such kind of café kiosk and to offer contract in the form of restricted tender to NGOs. The EDB aims at bringing the concept of “Social Enterprise” to educational organisations, institutions & schools through this project, and setting an example for them to follow suit in considering the use of products & services offered by NGOs, so as to create more work opportunities for the disadvantaged.
